Kura Kura Bali SEZ Positioned as Catalyst for Indonesia’s AI and Semiconductor Ecosystem

Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone (SEZ) continues to strengthen its role as a future-oriented innovation hub following support from Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, who highlighted the strategic importance of Kura Kura Bali in supporting Indonesia’s entry into the global AI and semiconductor ecosystem.

During his statement, Minister Airlangga described the initiative as a “baby step” for Indonesia toward becoming part of the emerging artificial intelligence and semiconductor industry ecosystem — sectors that are expected to play a major role in the future global economy.

As one of Indonesia’s strategic Special Economic Zones, Kura Kura Bali is envisioned not only as a sustainable tourism and lifestyle destination, but also as a collaborative platform for innovation, education, technology, and creative industries. The development aligns with Indonesia’s broader ambition to accelerate digital transformation and attract high-value investment into future-ready sectors.

Kura Kura Bali aims to foster an ecosystem that encourages collaboration between government, academia, technology players, innovators, and global partners. Through this approach, the destination seeks to support knowledge exchange, talent development, and sustainable economic growth while maintaining harmony with Bali’s cultural and environmental values.

The initiative also reflects the growing importance of Bali as a destination that combines culture, sustainability, and innovation — positioning the island as more than a tourism destination, but also as a place for future-oriented collaboration and technological advancement.

Kura Kura Bali remains committed to supporting Indonesia’s long-term vision for innovation-driven economic development and creating opportunities that generate positive impact for communities, businesses, and future generations.
