DENPASAR – Pilates for Charity at Sira Village brought wellness and humanitarian action together at Sunset Mandala, Sira Village Grand Outlet Bali, within the Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Organized by Kelas Rawat Diri, the community fundraising event attracted approximately 46 participants who came together to maintain their health while contributing to humanitarian support for healthcare facilities affected by the earthquakes in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
Sira Village Grand Outlet Bali began welcoming visitors on July 31, 2026. Developed through a partnership between PT Bali Turtle Island Development (BTID) and the Mitsubishi Estate Group, the destination represents an investment of approximately Rp1.5 trillion.
Alongside its collection of international fashion and lifestyle brands, Sira Village combines shopping with waterfront dining, leisure, cultural experiences, and community activities.
This approach aligns with the broader vision of the Kura Kura Bali SEZ, which is guided by Tri Hita Karana, the Balinese philosophy emphasizing harmony among people, nature, and the spiritual realm.
Pilates for Charity at Sira Village Creates Space for Social Action
Since opening, Sira Village has collaborated with various community groups through activities ranging from running sessions and Pilates classes to fashion events.
One of these initiatives was Pilates for Charity, organized by Kelas Rawat Diri, a women’s fitness and personal development community.
The fundraising event attracted approximately 46 participants, with tickets priced at Rp75,000. All proceeds from ticket sales and donations were directed toward supporting healthcare facilities in East Nusa Tenggara.
Maryni Manga, known as Rini, Co-founder of Kelas Rawat Diri, said the initiative was inspired by footage showing medical treatment and emergency surgery being carried out in temporary facilities following earthquakes in Flores, NTT.
According to Indonesia’s Ministry of Health, as of August 26, 2026, the earthquakes across seven regencies in Flores had resulted in 105 deaths, 385 people seriously injured, and 1,287 people sustaining minor injuries.
“The video from Aeramo Hospital in Nagekeo deeply moved our team. We realized that we did not necessarily have to travel to Flores to make a difference from Bali. That inspired us to organize a fundraising Pilates class, with 100 percent of ticket sales and donations going toward helping people who needed emergency support in Flores,” Rini said.
She added that Sira Village warmly supported the fundraising initiative and helped make the coordination process straightforward.
Donations Support Medical Facilities in Flores
Using proceeds from ticket sales and donations collected through the event, Kelas Rawat Diri provided support to healthcare facilities in need.
“We purchased medical equipment, including a nebulizer for Tuanggeo Community Health Center, glucose testing kits for Ruteng Hospital, as well as breast pumps, breast milk storage bags, and baby swaddles for Aeramo Regional General Hospital,” Rini explained.
The initiative demonstrated how wellness activities can extend beyond personal health and become a platform for collective social action.
Sira Village Opens Its Space to Communities
Tantowi Yahya, President Director of PT Grand Outlet Bali, welcomed the Pilates for Charity initiative, saying that it reflected the company’s intention to build positive partnerships with the wider community.

The fundraising initiative was supported through collaboration among various Bali-based communities, Sira Village tenants, volunteer instructors, and beauty-care providers.
“Sira Village, located within the Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone, opened its doors to meaningful activities. They provide a space for us as a coalition of various Bali-based communities, and even Sira Village’s tenants participate in activities that genuinely benefit visitors,” Rini said.

Zefri Alfaruqy, Head of Communications at the Kura Kura Bali SEZ, said integrating lifestyle, wellness, and humanitarian initiatives can serve as a form of community empowerment.
“We welcome the community collaboration established with Sira Village within our area.
