Kura Kura Bali, 23 May 2026 – The G20 Bali Global Blended Finance Alliance (GBFA), together with international financial institutions and development partners, welcomed President Prabowo Subianto’s vision to establish an International Financial Center in Bali.
The announcement was made during the 4th SIRI Blended Finance Decisionmakers Roundtable held at the United in Diversity (UID) Campus within the Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Co-organized with Columbia University’s Sustainable Investing Research Initiative (SIRI), the roundtable brought together leaders from government, multilateral institutions, investors, and development organizations to discuss innovative financing solutions for sustainable development.
Discussions focused on key sectors including energy transition, forest conservation, blue economy, financial inclusion, and human capital development. Participants explored how blended finance can mobilize greater investment while delivering measurable environmental and social impact.

As the home of the G20 Bali GBFA, Bali continues to strengthen its position as a global platform for sustainable finance. The proposed International Financial Center aims to connect global capital, technology, and expertise with Indonesia’s long-term development opportunities.
The event reaffirmed the commitment of international partners and the G20 Bali GBFA to accelerate sustainable investment, strengthen global collaboration, and support the achievement of climate and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).resilience, financial inclusion, and human capital development. Participants explored how catalytic and concessional capital can accelerate investments that generate both financial returns and measurable environmental and social impact.
