PT Bali Turtle Island Development (BTID), the developer of the Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Kura Kura Bali (Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone), once again held the second edition of the Island Bazar over two days. This marks the second time PT BTID has organized the Island Bazar, following the first event held in February.

Head of Communications Department at Kura Kura Bali, Zefri Alfaruqy, said that the second edition involved more collaborating tenants compared to the first event. He also noted that visitor numbers had increased.

“For this second edition, we are targeting around 3,000 visitors over the two-day event. The first event attracted around 2,200 visitors. Hopefully, this second one can reach 3,000,” said Zefri during an interview at UID Campus Kura Kura Bali, Serangan, Denpasar, on Saturday (May 2, 2026).

Zefri explained that there were a total of 72 tenants participating, consisting of 32 food and beverage tenants, 10 workshop tenants, and 30 retail tenants. In addition, there were booths operated by residents of Serangan who transform plastic waste into useful products such as keychains and cup holders.

“That is part of BTID’s collaboration with the Serangan community to support local MSMEs, because we invited several MSMEs to open booths here,” Zefri explained.

One of them is Angen, a community-based initiative from Serangan that transforms waste into useful products.

“It is essentially a collaborative effort to help address waste issues, especially plastic waste, by turning it into valuable products,” he added.

In addition, BTID also provided a traditional attire photo session. Visitors were given the opportunity to express their creativity through traditional clothing and have their moments captured during the session.

This initiative was intended as a form of appreciation for visitors who dared to express themselves and enjoy a memorable experience. There was also “One of a Kind,” featuring several creators who offered engaging experiences and creative workshop opportunities for visitors.
