Sira Village Introduces FIDS to Support a Seamless Travel Experience

DENPASAR – FIDS at Sira Village officially began operating on September 23, 2026, as part of Sira Village Grand Outlet Bali’s efforts to provide visitors with a more seamless travel experience.

Through the Flight Information Display System (FIDS), visitors can monitor real-time flight information while shopping, dining, relaxing, or spending their final hours in Bali before heading to the airport.

The facility further enhances Sira Village Grand Outlet Bali, located within the Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone (SEZ), by bringing an airport-style travel convenience directly into the shopping destination.

FIDS at Sira Village Provides Real-Time Flight Information

According to data compiled from InJourney Airports, operator of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, the airport recorded approximately 80,000 aircraft movements and served more than 13.2 million passengers between January and July 2026.

Behind this high level of mobility lies a familiar dilemma for travelers approaching the end of their holiday: the desire to enjoy some final shopping while also worrying about making it to the airport on time.

To address this concern, FIDS at Sira Village has been installed at the Information Center in the Main Lobby.

The display provides domestic and international departure schedules, airline names, flight numbers, destinations, gate numbers, and real-time flight status information.

Visitors can therefore continue enjoying their time at Sira Village while remaining informed about their upcoming flights.

Connecting Shopping with the Travel Journey

Located approximately 20 minutes from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport under normal traffic conditions, Sira Village is positioned as a potential part of the itinerary for both domestic and international visitors to Bali.

The introduction of FIDS strengthens this positioning by connecting the shopping experience more closely with the practical needs of travelers.

Sira Village is therefore designed to function not only as a retail destination but also as part of Bali’s wider integrated tourism ecosystem.

The concept was already introduced when Sira Village opened on July 31, 2026, with real-time flight information and complimentary airport transfers presented as part of the destination experience. Kura Kura Bali

Complimentary Shuttle to Ngurah Rai Airport

In addition to the Flight Information Display System, Sira Village provides a complimentary shuttle service connecting the destination with I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

The service allows travelers to spend time shopping or dining before continuing directly to the airport.

Sira Village’s official shuttle information currently lists five daily departures from Sira Village to the airport, with passengers dropped at the Departure Hall. Sira Village

Together with FIDS, the service supports a more convenient transition between leisure activities and air travel.

Visitors Welcome the New Flight Information Service

Visitors from different regions of Indonesia have responded positively to the flight information display.

Lucy, a visitor from Jombang, East Java, said the facility made it easier to keep track of when she needed to leave for the airport.

“This is actually my first time visiting Sira Village. Having this flight information display makes things much easier because I don’t have to worry as much about being late. Sometimes we forget to check exactly when we need to leave for the airport,” Lucy said.

Another visitor, Eva from Lombok, said she planned to use the complimentary shuttle to reach the airport.

“I’m going to the airport using the shuttle bus because Sira Village provides one. It really helps because it also saves time,” Eva said.

The positive response reflects the management’s goal of creating an outlet destination centered around traveler convenience.

From Shopping to the Airport in One Seamless Experience

Tantowi Yahya, President Director of PT Grand Outlet Bali, said FIDS was introduced to address one of the common concerns travelers face on the final day of a holiday.

“We fully understand that the final day of a holiday is often accompanied by concerns about missing a flight. The introduction of FIDS is therefore not simply a facility upgrade, but part of the way we provide comfort and convenience across different aspects of the visitor experience,” Tantowi Yahya said.

He added that Sira Village aims to integrate shopping more closely with the visitor’s wider travel journey.

“We want travelers to be able to leave their luggage, shop at their own pace, monitor their flights, and then travel to the airport using our shuttle bus without having to rush. It is about creating a shopping experience that is integrated with the travel journey,” Tantowi Yahya added.

Through FIDS at Sira Village, complimentary airport transfers, and supporting visitor services, Sira Village is expanding the role of a modern retail destination by connecting shopping, leisure, and travel more seamlessly.
