Tourism Minister Visits Kura Kura Bali, Highlights Sustainability

Minister of Tourism, Widiayanti Putri Wardhana visited the Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Serangan, Bali, for the first time, highlighting the need for sustainable tourism that brings quality visitors and support Bali’s economic growth. She noted that this aligns with the ministry’s vision to combine sustainability, education, wellness, shopping, marina, and culinary experiences.

PT Bali Turtle Island Development (BTID) President Commmissioner Tantowi Yahya shared that Kura Kura Bali SEZ is preparing to build a marina designed to be one of the most beautiful in the world, with capacity for 146 yachts and supported by hotels, cafes, retail, museums, and residences.

He also noted that the UID Bali Campus and international schools in the area will attract Bali’s expatriate community. Kura Kura Bali SEZ aims to welcome 1.6 million additional visitors each year as a regenerative tourism destination that integrates culture, education, and sustainability.
