A welcoming dinner by the beach was held at the Surf Surf by The Waves, Kura Kura Bali. Co-founder of United In Diversity Foundation Cherie Nursalim together with Minister for National Development and Planning of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Bambang Brodjonegoro, took this warm opportunity to present a commemorative painting to President Tsinghua Prof. Qiu Yong and Chairman of International Chamber of Commerce Paul Polman.
During the evening, President of UID Foundation Mari Elka Pangestu led a discussion forum to have respective opinions from our distinguished participants regarding the sustainable development initiatives that have been continuously initiated by United In Diversity, Kura Kura Bali, GITI Group, and Tri Hita Karana Forum 2018.
Yang Bin from Tsinghua University stated that the centre will not only be an institution for international education; it will also be an open innovative platform that will connect different domains of society.
As the main part of the dinner gathering was the announcement of Island of Happiness UN SDSN HeroX Global Crowdsourcing Eco-Challenge Award by Distinguished Government Patrons, Kura Kura Bali Management, Award Judges, and HeroX Co-Founder, Anousheh Ansari.
On her closing remark, Cherie Nursalim announced the Project of Creative Campus Challenge Crowdsourcing Plan.
