Kura Kura Bali Supports the Preservation of Serangan’s Memintar Tradition

Kura Kura Bali continues to support the preservation of local culture and spiritual traditions through the annual Memintarritual held by the people of Desa Adat Serangan.

The sacred tradition, which has been practiced for generations since the 1960s, brings together thousands of residents in a ceremonial procession around Serangan Island as a symbol of harmony, protection, and collective prayer for balance and well-being.

As part of the procession, participants pass through several sacred sites within the Kura Kura Bali area, including temples and coastal pathways that remain connected to the island’s cultural heritage. Kura Kura Bali supports the event by helping ensure accessibility, safety, and respect for the sacred nature of the ceremony.

Guided by the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, Kura Kura Bali believes that sustainable development should grow together with culture, community, and nature. The continuation of traditions such as Memintar reflects the island’s living heritage and the importance of preserving Balinese identity alongside future development.

As one of Indonesia’s designated Special Economic Zones, Kura Kura Bali remains committed to creating a destination where cultural preservation and sustainable growth evolve in harmony.
