The development of Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone (SEZ) has received strong support from Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) during a recent working visit to the site.
The delegation, led by Vice Chair Evita Nursanty, emphasized the importance of balancing investment growth with environmental sustainability and the preservation of Bali’s cultural values.
During the visit, members of the commission highlighted Kura Kura Bali’s potential as a model integrated development for Indonesia, showcasing a forward-looking approach that combines economic development with sustainability principles.
Officials also underlined the importance of applying the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana—harmonizing people, nature, and spirituality—as a foundation for the project’s long-term development.
The discussion brought together representatives from central and regional government, including Bali Provincial Secretary Dewa Made Indra, as well as stakeholders from the tourism sector and the project developer. The forum reinforced the strategic role of Bali as a key driver of Indonesia’s tourism and creative economy.
In response, the management of Kura Kura Bali reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable, long-term planning, with development strategies designed to deliver economic, social, and environmental benefits over the coming decades.
The visit also highlighted the importance of community involvement, with an emphasis on empowering local MSMEs and ensuring that the benefits of development are shared with the Balinese community.
With continued collaboration between government, industry, and local stakeholders, Kura Kura Bali SEZ is positioned to become a leading example of integrated, sustainable development—supporting investment while preserving Bali’s unique cultural and environmental identity.
