DENPASAR, POS BALI – Kura Kura Bali SEZ's commitment to Bali's tourism upholds the principles of Tri Hita Karana and limits investors who conflict with Bali's culture is very strong.
Kura Kura Bali SEZ, under PT BTID, strives to become a prototype that preserves the sustainability of Bali and its culture.
Kura Kura Bali SEZ in Serangan Island will become a long-term tourist destination by preserving and maintaining nature, local culture, and Balinese traditions.
Equally important, the SEZ supports the government’s program to realize quality tourism in Bali.
Bali tourism must gradually transition from mass tourism, which previously focuses on the quantity of tourists, to quality tourism.
"Our mandate is, of course, to support the government’s program and become the prototype of Bali transitioning from mass tourism to quality tourism," said Zakki Hakim, Head of Communications for BTID.
This concept, he said, is expected to open new economic opportunities for the community without eroding cultural values and traditions.
In particular, local residents in the Serangan Island area of Denpasar will feel the direct impact. Investors will be drawn to develop quality tourism and the creative industries established in Kura Kura Bali SEZ.
"But it must be emphasized that investments can enter Kura Kura Bali, but they must not contradict Balinese culture, the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, and Sat Kerthi," he added.
An early commitment can be seen in the building that was first constructed in 2022 at Kura Kura Bali.
This first building is the Upaya Indonesia Damai/United in Diversity (UID) Bali Campus. This campus not only implement sustainable learning, but also practices efforts to the principles of Tri Hita Karana.
